Today, the Edmonton Oilers (7-5-1) will be playing the Boston Bruins (5-5-1) at the TD Garden.  Did I mention that the game itself is at 11:00 am MT?  As for Boston, they’re coming off a single recent loss against the New Jersy Devils.

The Edmonton Oilers (6-5-1) will be hosting the slumping Detroit Red Wings tonight (4-4-2) [Thursday October 29, 2009] at Rexall Place at 7:30 MT.  Despite their slow start to this season, the Detroit Red Wings are still able to instill feelings of consternation among opposing team fans with the Oilers being no exception.

The Edmonton Oilers (6-4-1) will be hosting the Colorado Avalanche (8-1-2), a team who’s experienced their own resurgence this season at Rexall Place at 7:30 pm MT.  Much of Colorado’s recent success has been driven by the excellent performances of their goalie, Craig Anderson.  Anderson himself currently has a .936 save percentage (6th in league, highest of any goalie who’s played more than 10 games) and a 2.14 goals against average.

Edmonton Oilers – A little deflated…

Initially, the Oilers started  off to a blazing pace with a 6-2-1 record to start to this season.  However, after these two recent losses to our North West division rivals including the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks, the party balloons are starting to look a little deflated.  Really, there’s no reason to panic yet…
